Expected Results

Developed datasets of methane concentrations, obtained from high-precision ground-based and airborne measurement campaigns

Strengthened dialogue and collaboration between INCAS and main stakeholders, facilitating the identification of emission sources, analysis of root causes, and the implementation of targeted mitigation solutions.

Conducted training for Romanian scientists in the frame of capacity-building initiatives for personnel, focusing on learning measurement methods with newly acquired instruments, data processing and interpretation techniques, and emission estimation using inverse modelling approaches.

Performed collaborative research with Swiss partners, a collaboration aimed at increasing research capacities, facilitating knowledge transfer, planning and conducting joint campaigns to measure methane concentrations, and developing methodologies for estimating methane emissions.

Disseminated Research findings through top academic journals and international conferences, ensuring high visibility of the scientific results and promoting knowledge exchange at the international level.

Programme results disseminated by MCID through advisory bodies, providing robust scientific data to support public policies and decision-making for authorities and operators in the energy sector.
